Serving God in every Season

Key Verse: Colossians 1:24-27 (NLT)

24 I am glad when I suffer for you in my body, for I am participating in the sufferings of Christ that continue for his body, the church. 25 God has given me the responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message to you. 26 This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. 27 For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

Reflection:

Life comes with its share of difficulties—financial struggles, moments of doubt, and the weight of responsibility. But in Colossians 1:24-27, Paul reminds me that challenges are not setbacks; they are opportunities to grow and serve.

  • Stay Strong in Every Season
Paul found joy even in difficult times because he knew God had a purpose for them. When I go through struggles—whether in finances, emotions, or leadership—I can choose to stay strong, knowing God is at work.

  • Keep Serving No Matter What
Even in prison, Paul remained dedicated to sharing the gospel. Likewise, I am called to continue leading my Connect Group, even when I feel tired or uncertain. My circumstances should not stop me from being a blessing.

  • Christ in Me Gives Me Strength
The greatest mystery revealed is Christ in me, my hope of glory. This means I am never alone in my struggles. His strength sustains me when I feel weak, His provision meets my needs, and His grace carries me through every challenge.

  • My Challenges Can Inspire Others
Just as Paul’s endurance strengthened the early church, my perseverance can encourage others. Every difficulty I face can become a testimony of God’s faithfulness, showing others that He sustains those who trust in Him.

Application:

✔️ When I feel overwhelmed, I will pray instead of worrying.
✔️ When I struggle financially, I will trust God’s provision and keep giving.
✔️ When I feel weak in leadership, I will remember that Christ is in me.
✔️ When I face challenges, I will use them as opportunities to encourage others.

"Challenges are there for a season,
shaping me for a reason"
