Serving Christ in My Daily Life

Scripture: Colossians 3:23-24 (NLT)

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ."

Reflection

Paul reminds me that my faith is not just about church or personal devotion—it should shape how I live at home, in my relationships, and in my work. Whether I am leading, working, or serving, I am ultimately doing it for Christ.

🔹 Honoring God in My Relationships – Paul’s words to wives, husbands, children, and parents (v. 18-21) remind me that my faith should be visible in my family. Do I treat my loved ones with patience and kindness? Do I honor and encourage them? My home is one of the greatest places where I can reflect Christ.

🔹 Working as if for the Lord – Whether I have a job, serve in ministry, or take care of responsibilities at home, my attitude matters. Am I working with joy and diligence, or am I just going through the motions? Even if no one notices, God sees my efforts.

🔹 Serving with Integrity – Paul speaks to slaves and masters (v. 22-25), but this applies to my work and responsibilities. Do I give my best even when no one is watching? Do I act with honesty and faithfulness, knowing that my real boss is Christ? My work is not just about making a living—it’s an opportunity to glorify God.

🔹 Trusting in God's Reward – Sometimes, I may feel unappreciated or that my efforts go unnoticed. But Paul reminds me that my true reward comes from God. When I serve faithfully—whether in my home, work, or ministry—I am storing up an eternal inheritance.

Final Thoughts

✔ I will honor God in my family relationships by choosing love, patience, and encouragement.
✔ I will work with excellence and joy, knowing that I serve Christ, not just people.
✔ I will act with honesty and integrity, even when no one is watching.
✔ I will trust that God sees my efforts and that He will reward faithfulness.

Everything I do
—at home, at work, or in service
—is for Christ, and He will reward my faithfulness.
